Yeah normal glass will have a green tint. Look at the edges of your tank youll see it. Thats why starphire glass is more, its totally clear and more money. Acrylic is clear too

I'm a mh guy, but i dont think t-5's come in 72" Why dont you add 2- 72" vho's. Would give you another 320 watts. would really make it bluer or whiter. You can run them in actinic and put 10, or 12 k for your mh. Alot of people like the t5 cause it will give you a good color range to pick from...

Get a bigger, like 4" pvc coupling or just a 3" long piece of 4" pipe and buy a thin piece of plexi from the depot. Trace the circle on the plexi and cut it out. Attach it with crazy glue gel or clear silicone. Works great. Or you can just use a clear pyrex glass oven pan. Until your wife needs...

I had those, they look awesome when they are the only thing on. But they get washed out easy , especially with halides. You only have 150 w so they might not get washed out too bad, i have 400w. Keep in mind these arent meant to replace actinic, they're made for a moonlight like ed said...
