I have the dual BRS reactor, but run it off an MJ1200. I have the valve set at about halfway. I see no reason why you couldn't run this off a manifold. You just need to decide if you will control flow with the manifold valve or the in-line valve that comes with the reactor.
What an unusual carbon source. Methanol's metabolic pathway is
Methanol --> Formaldehyde --> formate --> carbon dioxide
What I find odd is that it is the rate at which the above metabolism occurs that makes methanol poisonous. Typically you have a build up of either formaldehyde...
I too am a BRS 1.1 ml doser user. They normally sell for $79 a piece, but had a sale this past year for $50 each. If you can't wait, see if you can jump into a "Group Buy" from any of a number of fish forum sites.
You could always also visit Kane Brewing Co right around the corner, and make a day of it. If you like beer, it's a nice couple of hours of just sipping on samples. Unfortunately you can't bring in food.
