Getting the hang of the macro lens

Acan opening up wide for some reef roids! Ignore the hair algae... Grrr... Still cool zoas tho.. Yellow tipped daisy polyps. My "ham", fiji falco hawk fish. He actually sat still for a full 10 second auto timer. He'll eat flakes out of my fingers too. Pretty cool little dude.

    Trip to that fish place

Whenever I go up there I take a small bucket, my cooler, and an battery powered air bubbler just in case. Put the bucker in the cooler, put the bubbler in the bucket. Works like a charm! Sent from my BlackBerry 8530 using Tapatalk

Blue Life Clear Fx Pro - Thoughts?

Water change day tomorrow, so I was going to update then, but I gotta tell ya. So far, I'm not impressed. I've seen absolutely no signs of the hair algae receding. In fact, its actually growing back in places where I plucked it out last time. It doesn't seem to be coming back as fast, but still...

Blue Life Clear Fx Pro - Thoughts?

Day 3: No noticeable decline in Hair Algae. Of course, it HAS only been 3 days. Water appears much clearer than it has in a long time, and there is still no build up of "surface scum" in the corner like there used to be. I'm also not seeing any build up in the return section of the sump any...

Blue Life Clear Fx Pro - Thoughts?

The manufacturer claims that the 4 month estimated life span of the product is averaged across all 3 components. Do I think that's true? I have no idea, that's why I'm testing the product. Could it turn out to be complete snake oil? Yup. But only time will tell either way. But to your...

Blue Life Clear Fx Pro - Thoughts?

Ok, so here we are 24 hours later, and while I didn't expect to have anything to report for quite some time, I must say 2 things have made me take notice. 1: The water is SIGNIFICANTLY clearer than it was yesterday. The difference in water clarity is actually noticeable. I would attribute...

    Livestock Transfer question

I'd say if your parameters are the same between the two (mainly, salinity, temp and PH), then I wouldn't even bother. I'd just move them over. The less stress the better. And if the cycle is complete on the new tank, the water will most likely be healthier than the old anyway, so long as the...
