Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Have you thought about using just a straight bit? You can get them in like 18 and 24" lengths. They are a tad expensive, but I'm sure if you keep them clean, you will be able to use them quite a few times.
Here's one spot, but I'm sure you could find them elsewhere less expensive...
I like the "death in the family" excuse. I've been "ebaying" a LONG time, and that one is the first and favorite cop out of most. Kinda the "cried wolf" effect now. It's a toss up between that and "I was in the hospital", another favorite of mine.
I was gonna smack him down, but figured it...
LOL! Definitely not plastic coral, that's for sure.
As for frag, how would I frag it, just snap off a piece?
I moved it lower in the tank because in the new 90, up high, the tips started to bleach a bit. Seems to be ok, but it is darker than it was before. I'll see if I can get a new picture...
Thanks Ed! LOL! Glad to see you venturing into the other forums! Somehow, I couldn't for the life of me remember what the heck it was called once I got it home! :)
This is a truly horrible situation, and I won't begin to diminish the gravity of it by opening a gun law debate, but keep this in mind.
If laws kept criminals and unstable people from acting outside the social norm simply by exsiting, we wouldn't need police, prisons, or more laws. Very few...
Hope everyone stays safe. We are dealing with power outages scattered all over the area, mostly from the saturated ground letting go of the trees in the wind.
ON a lighter note, I got my basement pumped out and THANK GOD my heater fired up after I dried it out with a hair dryer. Gotta love...
Getting pounded down here too. Over 2 feet of water in my basement floaded my damn heater because the sump pump quit sometime last night. Luckily it's only about 65 in the house right now, and everyone is getting ready to leave for the day. 'Cept me. I'll be going to Lowes for a new sump pump...
Hi Kenny:
I have a Hydor Koralia #3 on a 4ft 90 gallon tank and it reaches at least half way across the tank.
I'm putting another HK3 on the opposite end of the tank, both on the sides, towards the back, angled slightly forward. With the returns combined from my sump, this should provide amble...
No worries here Candi. I throw some off-handed comments about my wife in here and there, but all in jest. The fact of the matter is, I wouldn't have the tanks I have, nor would I be a member of the club or be on these forums if she wasn't at least somewhat supportive. ;D If she really didn't...
You can see the K3 in the left of thie picture. See where the little orange tomato clown is in the center? The K3 pummels the front glass that far out on the angle it's at. You can also see the Tunze nanostream 6045 in the right corner for size comparison. I had to move the clam on the bottom...
Hey rev, mine wasn't quite that big, but I did get some nice big pieces. I got luck the shape was good on them that I was able to create some cool arches.
If you look in the center, the base piece under the two main arches is one long piece with a small tower in the center. Probably a good 12"...
I run a K3 in my 90 which is also 48" long. I don't know how the dynamics of the bow front would come in to play, but from what you pictured there, I'd run 2xK3.
Just to give you an idea:
I ran the K3 in the 55 gallon (also 48" long) on the left edge pointed straight across the tank. The flow...
