Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Sucks to hear, we lost power as well for several hours, our neighbors on three sides had power but not us. Luckily nothing blew and we did not hook up our vortech backup battery but when we do I will absolutely keep an eye on it. I know there was an issue with one of the cords that they issued...
After these moves and times in the holding tanks, your SPS still looks amazing. I can't wait to see it grow once it is settled down into your home system.
Don't forget the weirdos in spandex who would show up to try and sabotage his tank through over elaborate schemes and dim henchmen. Then all of those words just appearing out of nowhere could cause epilespsy. Yeah I would not recomend it.
A huge +1 to what Jeff just said.
People don't realize how large sally lightfoot crabs get and they are nasty feeders. I would pull one out immediately if you have one or just not get one.
Pom poms are great crabs for a nano. They are very reclusive and will not be visible in a large reef...
I have had great success with Furan II and I know others on here who have had success as well. Really simple treatment, dip once a week for three weeks and boom your zoas are healthy.
How long has it been established? Can you take the fuge offline completely when you do the change? What is the total water volume you are working with?
I am sure by some of the posts we have made we are upgrading for the last time. This is going to take some time and we don't even have the tank yet but I wanted to start the old build thread. I am still finalizing some of the equipment and build aspects but at least I can get something...
I don't know how long they carry the eggs, as ours pretty much stay with eggs constantly. As soon as they hatch within a few days they will be carrying again. After a while you can get a feel by looking at the size of the eggs and the color and know they are going to hatch soon.
Also what size is your tank? That rabbitfish can also cause some damage as well. However, I agree with Jim that is is probably your tangs doing battle.
As shawn said it is very hard to raise them and the yields are generally very low. We just consider it free fish food. They generally hatch at night after lights off, so if you can catch them now I would drop them in the fuge now.
If you are going to come up to Sharkey's you should go to Tropiquarium and Reef 2 Reptiles (Ultimate reefs now) as they are about 25 mins from Sharkey and have much much larger salt water selection.
Ok back to the sleuthing for the tank to try and figure this out.
The rocks and sand: You said the tank crashed and you kept the rocks wet and circulated during this time. They could be leaching phosphates or nitrates from the crash if there was a cycle. Take some of the rock out and put it...
Moved this thread here so people could respond. Depending on where you are located, your local LFS is probably the best choice because you don't have to pay for shipping. Where are you located?

Have this on my 45 cube and love it. If you are going with a heavier bioload you might want to go to the swc 160 but I think you would be fine with the 120.
