We threw a surprise moving away party last night at a seaside restaurant.
Our friend lived here for 40 years and now is moving to Florida. She rented there on Hutchinson Island for 10 years but now is going permanently. We will miss her.
My wife and I organized it.. We will miss her.
Yes, we...
I am not sure if I can collect today. My wife was in terrible pain last night so I am waiting for her to get up to see how she is today. Mornings are usually better.
It is supposed to rain today which normally triggers the pains. MS is a very sucky disease.
I am so happy. On my beach walk this morning at low tide I lifted some rocks and they were loaded with amphipods. They have been totally gone for 2 years and for some reason, now they are back. Tomorrow morning I am going down there with a bucket and collect a few thousand to throw in my tank.
DaveK, I am starting on the Oak Slat, lighted wall. That should really make it Pop. I am figuring where I am going to hide the transformer for the lights. :D
I have been re-doing our guest bathroom. I hate builder stuff and after 9 years I tore it out.
I don't like anything anyone else has or anything you can buy in Home Depot or a furniture store, so I have to build it myself.
This was the original vanity and the hole I made in the wall for the...
Horrible night. It was pouring here, many trees down, no power for 24 hours but the worst thing is my Grand Kids were on a flight to Maine by themselves. (11 and 14 year olds) They cancelled their connecting flight in DC. They were in the airport alone with no money and they started to cry...
I don't know about anyone else, but we watched the celebrations in DC last night until 1:00 am.
They were delayed about 3 hours because of rain but as a Patriot, I had to stay and wait for the biggest fireworks display in history along with Patriotic, American music. I love it.
I may...
Happy 4th of July.
I'm not sure about everyone else but I truly love this country and am so happy I live here.
I have been to many other countries, and I know it's not perfect, but it is much better than any other place to live.
So many people live in places where they are not free. Places...
Unfortunately a very good friend of mine for over 50 years was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer last year. They removed a foot of his colon. Yesterday he called me to say it spread to his liver and next week they are cutting out half his liver.
I don't think he has long to go. We invited...
She can, and she is not exactly a kid. She also can't stand up which is why she is holding me so tight. Her walker is behind her out of the picture. Or, maybe she still likes me. :love_heart:
52 years married and still going strong. Stronger every year, but that's what happens...
Exciting morning at 4:30. I am taking my neighbor to the hospital this morning for a colonoscopy. I'm glad it is not me. I had my last one last year and now, I am done with that. After you get to a certain age, they figure you're going to croak soon anyway so you don't need them anymore...
Thank you Diana. I don't think I have ever been called that, except maybe by my Mother 70 years ago.
Especially here with my first girlfriend. I started young. :inlove:
OK, when you stop laughing, I will explain why I think a reverse undergravel filter is the best thing since doorknobs.
First, I will explain what a RUGF (reverse undergravel filter is.
Right after WW2, the aquarium hobby came into being in earnest. Our troops came home from the war, and they...
