I gree with putting the agressor in a container within the main tank. Doesn't matter what you use as long as its clear. Plus I would add extra holes for more water movement and on the bottome to help remove waste. I used the small reptile containers with no mod or deli containers with may holes...

Sorry to hear that. I have no salt and every store I hit was out. I keep chopping the ice and shoveling. My wife broke her ankle twice, long time back but not because of snow or ice. I know what its like to work and take care of two kids a 2.5 and 1 year old.

My 2004 van has a problem starting. I jumped it 3 days ago and it starts up but reluctantly. I was told cars won't start if its the starter or altenator no matter what. Just wondering if anyones if that is true. I think its still the original battery, which is an easy fix.

Just realized that about the time the lemon peel disappeared I changed out the GFH. I remember that after putting it on the sump some grayish water came out. Maybe I didn't run it clean long enough and the movement caused some extra stuff to come out in the tank?

Does your skimmer pull stuff since you started dosing? I did dosed Vodka for awhile but my skimmer didn't seem up to par. It did pull out more dark smelly stuff at first.

For what its worth I have heard of people using silica free play sand that you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot. Maybe someone can post if they used it, pros / cons.

Should we clean our skimmers other than the collection cup that is.? Do I need to clean out the neck any time or the plastic venturi piece the air hose goes into?
