Yes ten gallons a week should be more than enough. You really should think about the to machine. I do the same. Hook it up to the faucet and run what I need into a bucket. I invested in a twenty gallon brute garbage bucket and as the five gallons fills I dump it in there. I mix my salt and turbo Calais in there. I use a pump to mix and an air stone to add lots of oxygen to the water. Seems to work great for me.
