i do this most of the time with no problems. i usually have to think about it first to put water in, then a power head especially when doing a bucket at a time. Also i didnt know it said that on the bucket about adding water first.

i thought* the live rock system was seperate from the fish ? probably a good chance to find some extras ( no fault of THR) on the rock as it goes right in the tubs not sit around in the boxes.

cant make up my mind whether to cut out some baffles on my Oceanic Model 3 sump for the SWC skimmer yet.. got the sump moved onto a stand and re-plumbed my mag-18 in as a return pump. everything is much quieter without so much water falling. pics tomorrow.

Sorry to hear. The Best and easy thing to do is with the pumps on look and see if you can notice a rise in the water level in your DT. OR watch for a Level drop in the Sump. There may be something that has gotten into the drain(s) and only restricted the flow not stopped it completely which...
