Great Job Erna & Doug!!!!!
I am fighting a similar problem with what I thought are Aiptasia...But a healthy Copperband Fly and a number of Peppermint shrimp have not touched them... So now I suspect they are Majano anemones and along with injecting with Joe's Juice, I just remove the worst...

Really Cute!!!!!! :)
Y'all need to become more creative "benders of truth". ;) You know, throw more tech jargon at them, real or not..."this skimmer only yields 0.26549 mm's of skimmate/sq.cm of column capacity which is eating up 4x the amount of energy as most others" or...
Welcome to NJRC Obi...Lots of good advice given here by the others...My suggestion, like Patriot's, would be to determine what type of tank you want before you do anything else and then because it is a small one, do weekly water changes of about 10-15%. That will keep you out of trouble until...
Great News Bill....Good Luck....Can't wait to see it set up....A big tank lit with VHO's will be a magnificent sight....Been some 10+ year's since I've seen one and given your success with VHO's, I'm sure this will be a "must-see" for any reefer worth his/her salt. :P

Hi Renee
I use the 10k Aqualine AB 150w and 70w 20k HQI bulbs and am very satisfied with them...They do not make a 12k or 14k bulb as far as I know and being German made, they are expensive so I waited for a group by to get my replacements.
By and large, I would definitely stay away from the...

If the tank looks good without making the room appear smaller, leave it up as it will be a plus. Just make sure it's "clean", ie.water's clear, livestock in good shape and there's no salt crrep/splash marks etc. visible.
If the buyer is interested in the tank AND doesn't mind the basement...
Get a couple of Emerald Crabs, preferably Males...They will get rid of bubble algae...The Males have larger, thicker looking claws....Worked like a charm for me...

Hi Tony
Need more info re filtration, protein skimmer, lighting and maintenence schedule, ie. water changes etc.
Under proper conditions re the above, you should be OK.

I've got a 5-6" Hippo Tang that grew from about an inch+ over the past 5 years, a Percula Clown about the same age and a Flame Hawk that's about 4 yrs. old.

Bigg...are the white spots large and look more like tufts of cotton?? or are they small and look like pinpoints??
If it's the former, then it is not seriious and the tufts should disppear by themselves as long as the fish is eating well.
But, a picture would help a lot.

Hi And Welcome To NJRC
Definitely need a heater, a nitrate test kit and a way to measure salinity (a refractometer is best).
If you plan to add more, large or "messy eating" fish, then you should upgrade the skimmer and add internal water movement as Phil suggests. Adding a little more LR will...

I've seen a Heniochus Fly eat those dusters, but it will likely eat other types of polyps, perhaps those on some SPS, I don't know. So be careful, you've got a healthy tank with great corals.
