yeah acrylic kinda stinks, if rocks hit it it gets small dents, then coraline grows in it and ya cant scrape it off cause its a low spot. stick with glass. and look for a tank in the 90+ gallon range if you like your other fish. alot of times sick fish (actually animals in general) will hide...

growin in a few patches on my LR. its not mold or fungus i dont think...kinda looks cheato but white,and in a mat about 1/8" tall. will have the cable to get pics on here soon but till then any ideas? i think i have seen this stuff in other tanks before

supposedly they do. from what i hear they more or less nibble on it. i used joes juice, covered the discs on them ( were about 10 of them) and killed em all, no more popped up. that was 5 months ago at least

there was an article in press around june sometime. a big ol' one washed up under seaside pier. if im not mistaken they said it was about 4 feet long!

i think the parasite theory makes alot of sense actually.... good call. set up a qt tank, dont gotta be anything elaborate and treat that baby! even if ya throw a crappy hob filter on a 20 long, good enough

greg when my tank had that crash that you helped me with, my zoa also had a layer of skin come off during the rub down in the bath..... they didnt bleach though
