hit those babys up with a jet of water from a powerhead or turkey baster to blow and dirt off of them. they are prone to sediment damage if it sits on them
its possible.... thing is he will eat fish or inverts, your temp will shorten his life span and he will tear your tank up...btw there is a minimum size limit on blue claws that your allowed to keep....
if anything i would say to introduce both at the same time. my percula "sampson" killed his first mate, his second mate commited suicide and his third is getting battered. point being that as time goes on and he gets used to the tank being "his" it gets harder and harder to introduce another in
