i agree. especially at that size. i think the main reason people go acrylic is because of the weight.

a lot of people were having alk issues with that salt mix a few months ago. i don't know if he's corrected it yet or not. as far as "marketing folks" are concerned, it's one guy who mixes the salt up at home.

i had a majano stuck to the side of a leather. what i usually do with them is us kalkwasser paste, but i didn't want to hurt the leather, so i injected the majano with vinegar. the next day i had 4 of them on the leather.
