    Eco Tech Vortech pump Help

a tunze magnet wouldnt work on a vortech anyway since the vortec motor is the magnet. If these are new vortechs, give them time. They have a break in period. Everytime I clean mine they make some noise for a day or two. Very very slight adjustments of the outside magnet and then letting them run...

    Ozone Use?

imo, ozone is not worth the risks and headaches (literally). If the system is large and heavily stocked than go for it. I ran it on my system for about a month and didnt notice any difference other than the smell in the house.

    Huge Reef in Red Bank

I can reach the bottom with long grabbers without getting my shoulders wet; I have worn a snorkel just to see what I am doing when placing corals though. It is extremely difficult to trim back coral growth in a tank this deep as I can only reach by hand about a 1/3 of the way down. Like any...

    Huge Reef in Red Bank

Yes it is certainly a dream come true to be part of such awesome reef systems (I also maintain a 29 foot long 2200 gallon reef at Hackensack University Medical Center built by the same company). I would love to show people around (since the filtration room is as impressive as the display itself)...

    Huge Reef in Red Bank

The tank was built by Reef Aquaria Design Inc. out of Coconut Creek Fl, I have been maintaining it with their help since Sept. 2005. As the article in TFH states, the total volume of the system is about 3500 gallons. The tank is dominated by LPS, but there are a few soft corals and sps here and...

My PM reactor chamber only gets white up to the pump intake not all the way to the top. The deltecs take alot of stirring to get that white.

Break it to me gently... it's bryposis isn't it

your routine sounds pretty good. Keep up with the blasting and heavy skimming. It will, like rich said, certainly test your patience but it will eventually starve off. The only animals I have ever seen that eat bryopsis with regularity are lettuce nudibranchs. Depending on how much bryopsis you...
