It looks like your going to end up with ATI. 1 special to 1 blue will give you a whiteish look, with a good amount of pop even tho its on the bright and white side. 2 of each of these will give the best par.
On the other hand if you perfer the blue look, 2 blues to 1 special is about right...
If you feel your pump is not doing its job due to high head presure, raise the sump in the basement cose to the cieling. Build a stand from cheap 2x3s or old furniture to sit it on to gain height.
I see what you two are saying about presure.
In my mind there is no "head" presure in a closed loop because there is water all around it with equalized presure in every direction. So the Koralia type pump is only passing water from one area to another not forcing it to go against gravity...

mr. sticky's underwater glue, I've used it many times to put baffles in sumps. I thought I'd use it to keep my pump from moving in my sump with a couple of pea...
I was thinking of dropping a 120 gal (48x24) in place of my 55, problem is it sits right in the middle of the room pratically. It is up against a wall but there is really nothing under that wall in the basement supporting it.
Im sure there are some here who are doing way worse but I just want...
A bit of over kill on the supporting lumber I could see that stand holding up a truck ;D . Think I would rather attach it to the floor If I was to walk on it and use it as step ladder aswell as a stand, great work on the overal look and stlye. I like it alot.
To get an idea on how strong wood...
Hi all,
Im kinda old school and have only ever used powerheads for flow. I converted one of them with a sureflow kit recently, turned it on and 3 of my rics went sailing off behind and into my live rock before I could bend over and unplug the thing. I thought all the rics had a footing on...
Oh NP, I was just pointing out how it happens more or less in small bare tank. Well the one way is obvious in smaller tank its alot easier.
If you have one thats really picky, start with live brine, then frozen and live mixxed then just frozen. Then you can mix that with different items and...
