I don't think I'm the only happy to have seen Carol go. Hopefully that's the last we'll see of her in the series. She was THE WORST actor/actress in the show. Every scene with her seemed forced. I cringed every time she had a heart to heart with the young blonde girl. The one she had with her...
Yeah, saw your location was Somerset, so I figured I'd mention it. They'll have lots of fittings too, but none any smaller than 1" probably. Place is called SCP and it's actually at the end Easy St. off of Chimney Rock Rd. It's not hard to find. It's a distribution warehouse though, so like I...
There's a pool supply warehouse on Chimney Rock Rd in Somerville(Right next to UPS). Probably cheapest place to buy spa flex, but likely you'll need to buy 50ft at a time though, lol.
Obviously these are great people with good intentions. I'm not trying to take away from that.
I'm just saying there is no way that this is the best use of funds to help Sandy victims. There's no way you could honestly argue that helping hobbyists, is more important than giving necessities to...
I really don't want to sound like a party pooper because it's great that people want to help and give back and I don't want to fault them because their heart is clearly in the right place, but I'd much rather have seen them sell every coral and fish, then use that money to help feed or clothe...
Very depressing, but I wouldn't go so far as to say the ocean is broken just because one dude on a ship traveling through a VERY limited area, armed with only anecdotal evidence, didn't catch a fish. Wish there had been more real data involved in the story.
I don't know if I'd say amazing, but it was certainly solid. I'd say B+.
I also watched Boardwalk Empire last night and every Sunday and nothing on cable comes close to that show for quality acting and writing. That show is just SOOO good that imo it's the benchmark for quality TV right now...
Lighting needs to be stronger? I have at least 11 watts over less than 5" of water. The system is new, as you guessed and surely that is a factor. Would a stronger CFL work? I'd prefer not to buy another fixture as I imagine it's hard to find one that will fit over my 7" long fuge and I'd rather...
Light needs to be stronger? I specifically looked for a low wattage light because I didn't want to overdo it with a 2 gallon fuge. I mean, with the sand in there, it can't really be more than 1.5 gallons of water and it's only like 4" deep and then you're on the sand. Would just buying a...
DT is a 20 high. Sump is 5.5, fuge is about 2 gallons of that about 7"x8"x8" including the sand bed. System is kept at 76 degrees.
Flow comes from a mag 2(250gph), which is teed off to supply the fuge. I couldn't really give you an accurate number for flow in the fuge though, it'd just be a...
Pretty sure I got lots of this stuff in my fuge right now. Don't have pics at the moment, but will throw a couple up if needed.
It's red, it's on the glass and sand bed and it appears like it's growing on the macro algae I have in there. My concern is that it's going to coat the macro algae...
I'd wager that a spring clip from HD or Lowes would do the trick well. They're usually metal, but you can find plastic ones too. Can't imagine you'd spend more than $5 on one.
Something like this:
I ordered from reefcleaners recently. Was great. Everything showed up alive, mostly. I mean I ordered 25 dwarf ceriths, but there was like 50 of them, maybe 10 were empties/dead, so no big deal. Everything else was fine. If you want some tips on what to get, send a message to reefcleaners. John...
Personally, I feel like the constant switching back and forth between character's and storylines is what prevents me from really being engrossed in the show. I feel like we never get to delve deep into any character to see the different facets of their personality.
Anybody watch Boardwalk...
I second this. Another option if you think Johnny Law is gonna knock down yer door is to just buy the monthly pass. I think it's like $20/month, so you could just pile up the pics and then buy for a month, edit them all, then wait again so you don't have to pay $20 every month, just the when you...
They cram way too much into the plot. I personally think they should simplify and stick to one or two characters/storylines per episode. I can't stand the 5 mins of this, 5 mins of that. It's a lot to follow. Would rather just get more in depth into each storyline.
NUTS. Yes, that's what I meant, lol.
It just killed me to see the writers finally give Merle some depth and complexity, then a few mins later, BAM, dead. Unbelievable. They could have made a whole season of exploring Merle and Daryl, their prior lives. Would have been AMAZING to hear about why...
I call the characters by their Wire names. Skinny black guy stuck under shelf= D'Angelo. Not skinny black guy who was being a pansy and whining about going on runs= Cutty, from the Cut, lol.
The first episode seemed promising, I really hope this season is good because the show had so much...
Here's the links I was mentioning.
This guy has refined the traps.
Here's the original: http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2010/10/stink_bugs_bothering_you_delaw.html
Here's an article from today about how he's updated the traps...
I read a story on I think it was NJ.com about someone who basically glued some corrugated plastic sheets with strips between them to create a small, dark gap between the two sheets.
The idea was that stinkbugs like small, cramped, dark places, so they will seek out the gap. Then you either...
