Scrape them at the base off the rocks that they are growing on. If you get a clean cut with some rock attached, glue to a plug and make a frag, if its a messy cut, throw them into the sump for a few days to heal then do the same. I use a clam Knife and can usually dig out a thin layer of rock...

Wash them real good with water and rinse or soak short time in RO or distilled water and you can throw them right in. The coral BONEs are inert but could have been exposed to impurities, cleaners ect, over time.

Advice, I have the same red ringed zoas, the ring has faded! Keeping them under power compacts and some under T-5s and the same thing happened. Any Idea why that would happen?
