Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
For someone with a lot of money in her tank, I think it be a wise investment for you. Frankly, it'd be a lot cheaper to buy it now than to have all your fish and coral die one day, have to replace all of that, and THEN still have to buy the generator.
I think you should spring for it.
If you can't find a Scribbled for less than $823423847423, check out the Annularis angels. Almost as nice, IMO. Used to have one. I killed it unfortunately, but he was hardy... ate like a pig... and gorgeous.
Well, it's definitely pushing it but it can be done and would likely end up fine. I'd go with that.
Order those angels fast though from NYAquatic if you want them (they are in Brooklyn and he'll let you pick up from him I believe) as they tend to sell their high end angels pretty fast.
Just...
One thing to remember: Absolutely, positively do not... DO NOT buy one that is not eating in front of you. No matter what color chest it has. If the place won't feed it, simply walk out. If it won't pick at food yet they assure you it eats, don't buy it unless you see it eat... and more than a...
If you're going to go with Swallowtails, check out this pair that NYAquatic got in:

Amazing price, too.
Those are pretty rare.
I think that if you go with either of those final stocking lists plus any random midsized Acanthurus tang, you'd be fine. Be aware that Powder Blues get very aggressive sometimes, though, and it might be all out warfare with your purple (which also gets seriously aggressive).
5 large angelfish are 3 large angelfish too much for this tank, IMHO.
Stated that via our PMs.
Frankly, if you want the two Swallowtail's, I'd say to decide on ONE of either a Personifier or a Scribbled and stick with a grand total of 3.
Would still be overstoked, IMHO, but much more do-able...
The fish should probably be fine.
The big problem will be if any undissolved Kalk sat on corals for any length of time. Frankly, if that happens, it's a bad sign, IMO. Tends to burn them.
Actually, if you can find a healthy Thalassoma lucasanum wrasse, AKA the Cortez Rainbow, that is a supermale, go with that. Not much more beautiful fish out there than them, if you ask me.
Re: AGA 120 (very few pictures and lots of dull writing)

The Book of Coral Propagation by Anthony Calfo

Re: AGA 120 (very few pictures and lots of dull writing)
I'm stoked to see Phil getting his tank set up soon.
I never met you, but you seem like a great guy and I hope all goes well.
Can't wait to see it fully running.
I absolutely love... LOVE... my CADlights system.
Eddie was a freaking pleasantry to deal with. GREAT guy. I picked it up in Brooklyn and it was a breeze.
Go with the CAD tank. Get the Pro model if you can afford it. I regret not getting it over the Signiture one, and everyone else usually...
