Little update. I was soaking it for about half hour - 45 mins. Used the kent scraper and it did nothing at all. Turned it back up just to see and it is still very hazy. I am wondering whether it is worth all the hassle. I may just fill it and see how it looks. Would a few gallons of vinegar...

My experience has always been different types of gobies are usually OK together. Sand sifting/bottom dwelling gobies (watchman), perching gobies (clowns) and free swimming (firefish) can do fine in a large enough tank together. On the other hand, I wouldnt try to fit more than one sand sifting...
