I bought 5 beautiful Lyretail Anthias this past weekend at Tropiquarium. They are all eating. I have been feeding them mysis shrimp. If I want to feed them twice a day, how much should I give them. Is one cube split in half two times a day OK?
Thanks,
Ken
I am looking to buy 5 female lyretail anthias. Does anyone know a store that has them or is anyone wanting to get rid of and sell from there own tank?
Thanks,
Ken
I think that it will now start getting good (unlike the last 5 years). Phil Leotardo is tired of being a doormat and since this is the last year, everybody is expendable. Should be a lot of action. Maybe Christopher is the first to go, and then Tony "takes off the gloves".

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fish. My tank is a 90. My current stocking is as follows: Potters angel, Goldflake angel, Yellow tang, Red Sea Sailfin tang, Maroon clown, Royal Gramma. Nitrates and phosphates have never shown any color change using Salifert.
I have a great skimmer and good...
I wanted to get some anthias for my 90 gallon reef tank. I know they are supposed to do better in groups. I want to purchase three. Is there a specific type of anthias that is recommnded? Any stores that you know of that generally have them stocked?
Thanks,
Ken
I am using a MTC Ca reator. It is on the pricey side but I think it is the best, if not one of the best one out there. It is two chamber, has a lab grade glass flowmeter, and a automatic CO2 venting assmebly. My tank has been setup 5 months now and I finally have had it dialed in just right over...
I seriously doubt you can disolve the medai at 8.0 Ph. Your reading must be incorrect. The Ph in the reactor should be in the 6.5 range give or take.
The reactor should be run 24/7. You need to adjust it by the Co2 (bubble rate), or the effluent. If you turn on and off the Co2 everyday, it is...
How long has the tank been set up? Did this come out of nowhere? What are nitrate, phosphate, and Ph levels? Do you have any type of clean up crew?
Ken
Get rid of the sponge in the filter ASAP. That is a nitrate factory. Have you tested for nitrates on the water coming from the RO? Maybe they are exhausted. IMO the 3" sand bed may not be a good idea. If you want to have some substrate, just use about 1/2" to give you a look, and then you won't...
I have a Potters and a Goldflake Angel in my 90 with no issues at all.
Years ago I had a 90 gal salt only tank and had a Personifer, Emperor, Queen, Blue Face, Flame Angel with no issues at all between them. They probably didn't read the chapter in the book where it said that they won't get...
