Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I concur with your statement 100%, Mike, especially since the Koralias are extremely affordable to even the most stringent reefers.
Hopefully I'll be allowed this one comment: I like nothing more but to keep our economy in tact and will buy American whenever possible.
It was great seeing you, too, Chad. What thing on the right? On the right bottom is the Aussie Elegance. On the top right are my big millis, and in the middle is my Tyree Undata. UNLESS you're talking about my magnet. ;D
And what on earth is that helmet? For paintgun? C'mon, you know I'm slow...
Ed, I honestly think Alex (hubby) would end up in the ER if I had a meeting here. :-[ But you are more than welcome to stop by any time you want. :)
Thanks Mike.
Tom, nope, no gold clam yet. I have to be patient until I find what I'm really looking for. I don't just want any old gold clam. I'm...
The adventure continues. Nothing "bad" has happened, but I will continue to be paranoid and keep my eyes open for anything and everything. I still test the water several times a week, making sure everything's in check. All inhabitants are doing great, including my Aussie Elegance. Oh how I love...
I got some from Mike, too. Initially placed them on the bottom, had them there for about 4 weeks or so, and they looked pretty good. Recently moved them up pretty high, but under SPS (for some shade), with more flow, and boy are they ever so bright now. LOVE those PDs. ;D As for lighting, mine...
Chuck, some zoos/palys can be a bit temperamental when you add them, or change something. I've had a bunch of Armageddons, and decided to move half of them over to the other side of my tank. Sure enough, they initially opened up, but by day #2, most of them stayed closed. I'm now on day #6, and...
Holy smokes! I was holding my breath when the person was prodding the lionfish - but it seems they all know their keeper/feeder, lol. Those rays are really active. I wonder how long he can keep them in there before they outgrow the 450. Great video. Thanks for sharing it, Pete. :)
Another vote for Clamsdirect. The only thing is, you have to try and get to be at the site literally as soon as they finish posting up new clams because I swear they sell SO fast. As an example: I was eye-balling one particular clam last week, shortly after they had listed new ones, and when I...
Phyl & John: THANK YOU so much for one heck of an awesome meeting. WOW. SO SO many people, terrific people, great friends! The food was fabulous, I am still beyond stuffed, and I left over 2 hours ago. :-[ I took notes on what I want out of your tank, btw. ;)
Thanks again. You all ROCK!
As previously said, it all depends what you plan to keep in your tank in the long run.
On my 75 I started off with 2 X #4s, but that was too much, so I switched to 1 X #3 and 1 X #4. As my corals (mostly SPS) began to grow, I switched the #3 with the #4, so I was using 2 X #4. By the time the...
1. About every 4-6 days (depending on how dirty they are)
2. Turn inside out, wash in machine with bleach, rinse twice, and air dry
3. I have 3 sets of filter socks, so I'll be good for a while. For me they last about a year or so.
Clownfish sushi? Gosh, Jim....I don't get it.
As for the Undatas, I "believe" they're all spoken for. But if someone backs out it's all yours, Jim. I'll be bringing them all along.
Oh, and for those who don't know me, I'll be the tall, chubby blonde in Blue Jeans and PINK boots. :P
Ok, the Tyree Undata's been fragged. I was able to get the whole thing out and use a Dremel. In my original post I said they were going to be $20 and up, but since the frags turned out HUGE, I think $25 is more appropriate (and still really fair ;))
Please let me know if anyone wants to back...
