Jim, I use Potassium once a week. I make the solution myself, using Brightwell Aquatics powdered potassium. Been doing it for about one month now, and I "think" I notice an improvement in the blues. :)
Jon, don't do anything. The alkalinity will go down on its own, give it a couple of days.
What was your dKh before you added something, and which product did you use?
I have accidentally upped my alkalinity too much and too fast, and some of my stonies developed white tips almost immediately...
I'm using FF, and never had any problems with it. Updated to the newest version yesterday - no problemo, everythin's working great.
IE was much too slow for me as well, and the regular crashing annoyed me tremendously.
Re: Here's my now 375 (was 120) by Bax
I am SO excited for you, Bax. ;D Cracked up laughing over John's smelly comment, nearly spat soda on the monitor.
Go Bax, Go Bax, Go Bax!
Rafal, can't help you with the Vit. C, but congrats on your additions. Just got an Orchid Dottyback as well, and LOVE her to death already. What colors! So far she's been a model citizen - I know, I know....too soon to make any judgment.
Oh man, I missed this. John, I'm so sorry. Gosh - what the hell is happening? This has GOT to get better sooner or later, no?
Here's to hoping you'll find something really quick and in a hurry. :)
Please don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. Not that I really know WHAT you do, but the...
Did someone say GAAALIC? I love garlic, my husband loves garlic, my kids love garlic, my dog loves garlic, my parrots love garlic (no joke) and I soak the fishfood in freshly cut up garlic, too. ;D
Scientific, non-scientific, bla-bla-tiffic....garlic IS a natural antibiotic (I learned that from...
Healthy clams attach themselves to something, using their byssal gland. Do you have any half shells of clams? Many people put that under their clams, so they attach themselves to it, but it's still easy enough to move them if you have to. Are you saying it was just "lying" on the sandbed and had...
Mike, wasn't your Maxima attached to something? Did you rip its byssal threads when you moved it by any chance? Peppermint shrimp (usually) leave healthy tissue alone, so if they're picking at it, that's a bad sign. How's it doing today?
You said you learned the hard way about FW dips. Does...
Congratulations daddy, .....I mean Steve. ;D
You gals/guys are SO lucky with the quick deliveries. John, Phyl, did I read this right? Sierra was born on the Parkway? NO WAY! (faint)
I can relate, Ryan. I just finished my water change, too. Even though my lights didn't fall in (YIKES), I almost needed swimmies by the time I was done because my floor was soaked from the garage all the way to the family room. :-X
My hair algae started popping up AFTER I had won the battle with the diatoms. ;D That doesn't mean you'll get this, Rafal, so don't start ripping your hair out - yet. I did go kind of fast with my 75. I was SO lucky not to have lost any lifestock due to the green stuff.
