Re: NJRC Members Free.
I agree with Dave in that when they are young they school and when they get older they fight more. I wish there was someway to change them out when they get to big and put the big ones back in the ocean.... but that'll never happen.
It's a cool thing you're doing, giving...
I built my ph probe cup/holder for the effluent.... and by "I", I mean Ethan at Aquatic Obsessions.
I'll hook it up tomorrow and i'll keep everyone updated as to what my levels are.
I think it looks good. Any ideas on what fish you're gonna try?
The only mod I did to my bio cube was drilling the back of it and plumbing it to my sump.
Good luck with it and if you live next to AO then you shouldn't have issues when you run into a problem. They'll take good care of you.
Closed loop looks better and depending on how you do it, it could have enough flow to take care of any size tank.
Power heads are just more convenient and for people who don't want to drill thier tank.
If it's possible to go closed loop I say do it.
Ca vs Ka Question.
My Kalk Reactor has been running for a couple of days now and my Ph is at a healthy 8.2 ... great. But I still didn't add my Ca Reactor. I want to keep my Ph high and I know that my Calcium Reactor is going to lower the ph. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do in this...
You should hire a company now to maintain your tank. Factor it in as a home expense. Use it as a selling feature. Have the person buying the house know that you have a company that maintains it and they wouldn't have to do any work.
ARM is a new sponsor for the club and they are in Keyport. Get...
Do you? Or do you think it would be a good idea? Bad idea?
My Topoff water is very cold and it only drips. It really doesn't effect the temp of the tank but I was thinking that temp effects Ph as well as other variables in the Saltwater. So i was curious and thought i'd ask.
No problem .. any monday is fine. I live around the corner from them so just let me know when you're coming down and i'll be there. To be honest I forgot myself that we were meeting.
The Special Intrest Groups are part of the public forums in that anyone can see them. They're not private.
I don't mind where it goes but as a person that doesn't really get into nano tanks I do think it is a special intrest. Only because most people set up nanos as a sort of biotope and...
What kind of skimmer are you using on the tank. Also is there a sump, and if so, how much water is the total volume of the tank and sump together?
I'm assuming you have high nitrates and that's the reason you're asking?
