Feeding was occasional kent zooplex or phytoplex when I would spot feed coral I'd squirt a bit around the clam. Also BRS reef chili occasionally.
Also I inspected the mantle and saw no evidence of any pests.
Thanks
figured it was done. Pulled it out and ... well ... it's dead. The snails and my peppermint were PISSED that I stole their food. Gonna switch out the carbon and do a small WC if I have enough water made up. The clam was only 2.5-3". Now starts the investigation. What did I do wrong. Don't...
Pretty sure my maxima died at some point today. Seemed ok yesterday. The clam is covered in about 7 nassarius snails. Should I assume it's dead (been closed about 12+ hours) first noticed this morning. Should I pull it out (could it cause a crash?) or leave it to feed the bacteria and CUC?
I noticed this morning my clams mantle had completely receeded and the shell was 95% closed. When I got home from work it's foot appears to have released and it was lying up on the sand bed (as if it fell over in its side). I thought if it died it would open up like those I've seen on the beach...
I'm getting ready to do this and one thing I saw in my reading was to run your skimmer waste directly into a 5 gallon bucket for the water change for at least the first 5-10 gallons of the water change. (I just had to do the same thing after using some coral booster – when I read about it...
Elmers Auto Body (I think it's in Mt. Ephraim or Oaklyn) - they are great. They'll take care of everything. I had them do my old Acura and it was a full front clip, engine mounts, air bags, etc.... look as good as new (even detailed the interior) when I got it back
RK2 sold & shipped
Kalk still available. I've gotten some PMs over on RC, no takers yet. I'm open to offers. To sweeten the deal a touch, if you can pick up or if you'll cover the extra shipping I have a container of BRS kalk that's more than half full that I can throw in....
Not sure the wife would notice if I went into the attic and "borrowed" a small piece of her veil but I think I'm afraid to find out what might happen if she did...
I am the lucky recipient of a loose blue mushroom. I tried (unsuccessfully) to attach it to some rubble. It keeps blowing away and I'm afraid it's going to disappear behind the rock. Any tips on attaching a small shroom? Thanks
It'll definitely control heaters - I used it for mine. Depending on the size of the chiller it would do that too. I had my halides on the controller and I didn't want to overload the circuit (i ran 2 to my tank) so I used a Ranco to keep my chiller on the other circuit.
Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper 2 (RK II). 8 controllable outlets with the controller head unit. Includes the temp probe, cable to connect RKII with the outlets and serial cable to connect it to a computer. I'm happy to include a pH probe but it's dry and likely won't calibrate accurately.

Sorry - it went to a member who PM'd before I saw this reply. I have 3 now (had 4) - started with one less than a year ago. They multiply quickly so I'll be sure to keep you in mind next time - or will post here
