Aquarium Center is Having a HUGE SALE!!!!

The saltwater fish selection was average. I didn't make the sale but I did pick up a $10 bottle of pods and a nice 3" powder brown tang for $30. I live right around the corner and I still seem to have trouble going there sometimes. THR and the fish factory seem to have better fish and coral...

where to buy fully cured live rock?

You will have a short cycle, but nothing like regular uncured live rock. Since you are on a budget Marco rock is dry you get more rock for the dollar. And I have seen people add it right into their tank.

Jenkinsons' Aquarium, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ

I stopped by the atlantic city aquarium and I was kinda shocked by the quality of their tanks as well. The coral tank was average compared to a lot of memebers tanks. They did have an arrow crab species tank that I would love to donate mine to since it is getting really big. (he has a span over...

where to buy fully cured live rock?

You can use the cheap $20 box that will do 160 gallons for the curing. The price difference of the rock could be around $300-600 unless you can find some from someone on here that is cured. Marco Rock would be the best cost effective solution for you.

where to buy fully cured live rock?

Not having the money to cure the rock doesn't make sense. Cured live rock will cost you around $6-9 a lb at an lfs versus paying $3.50 a pound and waiting a month or so to cure it. You can always buy some marco rock instead.

    144 Oceanic 1/2 circle

Wow you guys are always changing things up. It looks really cool. Is that the yellow tang you had in the bigger tank? If so he looks a lot better. The scopas tang is doing well and is starting to grow back his dorsal fin. I will have to swing by sometime and check it out.

Thanks for the offer. This thread was from Feb so I already figured out something. I went with an aqualifter and a float switch on my reef keeper elite.

    Few Questions....Not sure if serious

Moorestown's water (with 30 psi water pressure) was aweful when I lived there. There is a lot of minerals and such in the water there. My TDS when I lived there were around 120 after going through a high flow carbon filter. It is now around 60 in stratford. You definitely need ro/di water or it...

    Need an AC guy

This was a concern of mine and why I was thinking of doing a closed sump and a small refugium/filtration tank. Are you covering any of your tanks/sumps in the basement?

Business address with a Lift Gate, anyone?!

We have fork lifts, so it wouldn't be a problem here. I guess it only depends on how long it would sit here and I would just want to run it by the boss if you have more details. Mike

Starving (large) Mandarin - Can anyone help!?!

Sorry to hear he didn't make it. The trick is to train them with black worms and start mixing in the frozen blood worms to wean them off of the black worms. That is our plan for a mandarin in Jess's nano tank.

Starving (large) Mandarin - Can anyone help!?!

Target feed him with live black worms to get him eating again. Then once he starts eating those, start mixing in blood worms. That will get him eating again.

    Container for ATO?

you might be able to get one of those camping drinking water jugs. I use a 5 gallon bucket with a float switch wired into it.
