I think you can keep those. The more important thing is water chemistry. I was looking at a guys tank yesterday who had a whole lot of everything in a 10 gallon with a 9 watt 10k bulb and a 9 watt actinic bulb. (coralife mini) He had montis, acros, and other "high" light corals. I think with the...
I need a 12x12ish sheet for a pico tank that I am making for Jess. Where I can buy it locally? I don't really have the patience for online shipping. Thanks.
Most people don't know how to check for stray voltage. The probe is a safety precaution. Since our tanks are salt water and salt water corrodes metal, things will go bad.
For people that want to check for stray voltage, take a multimeter and set it to 120 AC voltage (might be 200V AC). Take...
not sure what you mean by little ground connector, but the third pin is your ground. Also make sure the outlet you are plugged into is actually grounded.
Why not use one? A ground probe and a gfci together are the safest option. That way if there is a major short you won't be the object completing the ground. Then in theory the gfci would should pop. Without the probe you might complete the ground and then you get the shock.
I would try the control panel and go to network connections. Right click and try repair connection. If that goes fine, hit the windows key + r and type cmd. When that is open type: ping www.google.com
This will tell you if your internet is connecting. If it times out you have a networking...
I have a healthy condi anemone that I don't really want anymore. Well it's not a frag, but I am hoping someone will want it.
He is free (or will trade for a small frag of anything except kenya trees ;D) for anyone that wants him. He is healthy and eats anything frozen. He doesn't seem to...
I can bring it to the meeting for you. It is healthy and eats fine. I decided I don't want it in my tank anymore. I will get him free tonight. PM me if you want it.
The shock isn't too bad, but after a while the beeping alert is usually enough to stop the dog. It is usually a good idea to setup marker flags and train the dog the boundaries over the course of a few weeks. Some people just install them and let the dog loose and it isn't fair to the dog.
I bought 2 new scooter dragnets yesterday to go with the one female that we had. So I thought I bought a male and a female however one of them was hiding their large fin and both the sales guy and I didn't see it. They told me I was buying them at my own risk, so I am not sure what I want to do...
I have lines down the inside glass from the previous owner. They look like hard water residue lines. I didn't have time to try and clean it because of my move. Is there anyway to clean them off now with the tank full. I tried rubbing a paper towel over them but it didn't do anything. Is there...
I have the 240 skimming my 100 gallon system. It is a great skimmer. I have a mag 18 hooked up to it. It is a little oversized for my system but it still pulls out some nasty stuff. So far I really like it. It takes awhile to get broken in, but after that it has been great.
I know the tubing trick, it's not the same trust me. This is the only downside of the elite that I have encountered. Everything else about it is great.
