Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
It's really hit or miss. At various times, I've had four Centropyge and only one was truly "reef safe", all the others had a taste for something in the tank.
SamK is a member of this club, and a science teacher at Hopewell Valley Central High School and has started a tank this past September. So, it's not too far from you.

I removed the BRS reactor I had re-purposed for bio pellets and activated a new RO reactor. The new reactor will allow me to double the amount of pellets, to the recommended amount for my system (3 cups). I can't seem to get my PO4 below .08, and will reactivate the BRS reactor for GFO, after...
Do you know of anyone nearby that has good test kits that you could get a second opinion? With your Mg that low, I'd be surprised if both your Alk and Ca were that high.
I've been using my 55 to cure the 50lbs. of Pukani I bought from BRS. I use the water from my DT when I do WC's, and keep it at the same temp, and have a couple of PH's in there too. So, when I finally do install it in the DT, there shouldn't be any real differences.
You shouldn't have to change the pellets, just add to them as they are used up. If they are clumping you need to increase the flow through them, a little like you do for GFO, not too fast, just enough to keep them from clumping up.
