Why not give us more info on your system? One of the first question when someone is having a problem and is getting low or no readings for nutrients and is having a algae problem, is what are you using for test kits.

And/Or, put it on a timer and only run it part of the day.

I have two separate reactors, one I still have the GAC with a MJ400, the other was GFO with a MJ600. I changed the GFO to pellets and changed to a MJ 1200. Are you thinking of running the GAC and pellets in series with one pump?
