The eraser has so many good reviews on fb ( the original) , but you still have to get your arm wet lol- the dish scrubber on a stick is actually better, but I'd like to find a magnet that works- still/always worried about scratches
I've used Mr Clean magic eraser, non abrasive dish scrubbers on a stick, neither work great on harder algae- used another kitchen scrubber with a handle with a bit more 'satisfaction' it's the area close to the sand I worry about the most- any/all of these could pick up some sand and scratch the...
The yellow sea whip was leaning on some rock and seems to have attached to it- wondering if I cut it off below where it attached if it will be good- seems so to me
I use a long handle ss scraper with razor blades for my glass tanks- looking for something for the cube that won't break the bank or scratch the acrylic
Easier said than done- fast buggers. I took the coral out of the tank dosed it with lemon juice, brushed, rinsed and put it the tank with the shrimp- hope there isn't more aptasia in the original tank
Not sure how big the frags are but the small flat rate box or envelope from usps is around $9. Yates sent me orange polyps overnight first class for around the same price- it was a deli container the size for 2 lbs inside a box made the same size- the lager box ( medium ) is around $16. Don't...
I'm sure peppermint do eat aptasia, I bought mine for that reason initially, but they didn't- but they were small- now I think they would- a year in the tank and have molted several times @amado is right about cuc's getting a bad rap- along with some fish that people think eat them lol
@ericrodriguez there is some confusion between Peppermint and another species look alike- mine pick at corals but are just cleaning- there are posts on fb groups saying that they 'kill' snails-not in my world- just part of the cuc
I like peppermint shrimp- have a couple for over a year- and they might have taken care of any aptasia in that tank- and mine are not nocturnal- all over the tank at feeding time- I just prefer to have different things in all my tanks- one reason why I have 4 instead of one big one
So it is aptasia? Rock is easily removed- not going to get more peppermint shrimp- have them in another tank, copper band is not right for a 30g and a nudibranch is not the answer either- what happens when the aptasia is gone
