I currently have a 40b, 30L ( which will go to a 75) and a 29g cube. looking to put together a package from reefcleaners. Most of their packages come with dwartf ceriths, nassarius, Fl Ceriths and nerites- and hermits if you want- I'm looking for some that will spend more time on the rock and...
While waiting for the waters to recede and thing to dry out I cut the hood/canopy 5 inches shorter ( why I didn't think of it for the initial build- old age maybe ) so the in tank sump is now outside and easier to get to/ maintain, and moved the light over to keep the light balanced. I moved the...
Time will tell- at least you got it back up and running- hard to kill zoas and xenia- mushrooms are most likely gone- but hope is eternal- @MadReefer
You still have the tank, rock, filtration, think of it as a major power outage- it happens- you're still ahead of the game- not starting from scratch- some of your corals may survive- wait and see
I haven't rented in decades, but one would think that either the renter or the landlord has to remove everything before the last walkthrough- either way, unless the tank was 10gallons- water has to be removed- once the tank is moved, filtration/ water movement has to be restored- that is not the...
Some things I've said here: "Can't fix stupid" and "Oops I did it again"- Usps 2 day is now 3 day and this order was 4 day-not thinking that a few more hours wouldn't make any difference- I added the pods to the tank in the afternoon. instead of waiting until lights out- I did use a pipe and...
I've ordered several times from reefcleaners in the last year or so and never had any problems- thinking about making another order soon- would buy buy one of their packages to get free shipping- they allow additions to the order with no additional shipping costs- if anyone is interested we can...
Just thinking about preparations- last week we got hit with a lot or rain- I had 3 major roof leaks, but only lost power for about an hour. My daughter lives in New Orleans and has decided to rough it out for this one ( she left for Katrina ). I hope everyone has backup power/ cooling options...
I figure I got nothing ( much ) to lose- the big online stores charge about double and add shipping for a 16oz/ 3000 count- I did fine with Deans before-just thought I'd try something different
That's a question to think about. No matter who you buy pods from, how do you check the numbers? Only way I can think of is to put them in a tank with no predators and stay up after light out with a flashlight lol
