Unplugged the heater like @horseplay suggested. I keep the room at around 76- the tanks stay around 80 between the lights, pumps etc- the heater is a ceramic one. didn't think it could be the culprit when it's off most of the time- I got 16" rubber gloves and wear rubber soled shoes now lol

This guy belongs in a tank with some more aggressive fish than I have in my 40- had it for over 6 months. I'm going to try one of the DYI fish traps in the next few days- I can hold it in my 13g for a while

I moved an Evo from one room to another that was running for about 6 months- kept the sand and had a major cyano problem- dump the sand- a 20 lb bag of live sand is under $20

I've seen it/ been there- and there's a tang that keeps it clean too- grab it while you can :cool:

Could also be the wave makers- but you're probably right- shocking! :cool: :)

I get shocks occasionally when I touch my black box while maintaining the tank- I've tried using a meter grounded and get nothing- the culprits are either the heater, submersible led light or the return pump- I've ordered a new and heater- got to the point that I don't want to maintain the tank-...

I love the 75 gal @Salted has, and I like my 40b. But why don't they make a stock 90g that's 24" deep 48" x 24" x 18"- I love a deep tank- or do they? I can't afford one- but I am a dreamer :)

I would have a bunch of time had I known you could just glue them without tying them together with thread LOL

Guess I was just lucky then, mine were mailed overnight in a plastic bag inside a deli container- with no rubble at all inside a cardboard box

Turned over a frag today that a hermit crab turned upside down and several polyps are fine- they looked like strings when I tied them to the frag-I guess @MadReefer tossed his too soon :D :cool:

Day 8 of cycling the tank- fishless with Dr Tims and FritzZyme ammonia- live rock and live sand/aragonite mix- Yesterday ammonia zeroed out Nitrites were at .25 and nitrates at 160- today nitrites at zero and nitrates are at .5-10 ( i got an API, so it's not actual )- Still a dusting of diatoms...

Replaced the return pumps- very noisy and really didn't fit the chambers with 2 Vivosun 210gph pumps- very quiet but I still have to keep an eye on the water level- still low in both return chambers. Am cycling the tank now- used Dr Tim's 1 and only and against recommendations by you guys, I...
