Getting the 120's from my dive shop. He's supposed to check to see if he has any used 30's ponies for sale as I need one more myself. Soon as I hear, I can let you know how many he has. 2 of my ponies I got used from him for $100/each.
Yep I did. Picked up a Dive Rite RG 3000 reg for $200, a DIN to Yoke converter for $10 and a couple large bug bags for $10 each. They had a lot of stuff there, just not what I needed. Prices weer cheap too. Hopefully going tomorrow to pick up a set of HP 120's, if the weather holds out.
A huge thanks to Todd and Danielle for hosting this month's meeting and welcoming us into your beautiful home. Your tank looks fantastic.
It was great to make a meeting again, to connect with old friends and make a few new ones.
I also want to give a huge thanks to Phyllis, Phil, Brian, Ed...
A few other things that will help in situations like this, battery powered air pumps work great for keeping the tanks aerated and will run for about 12 hours on a set of "D" batteries. And they are cheap. http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3669+3693&pcatid=3693...
Dropping the salinity by .005 over a few hours is nothing compared to throwing a fish in a fw bath. When we drip acclimate we are changing the salinity in a short time and for those of us that don't even bother to acclimate new arrivals the change in salinity is even greater.

Brine take about 4 weeks to reach adult size. The older the brine the shorter the time needed to enrich them.
If you don't already have it, may I suggest you get a copy of the Plankton Culture Manual by Frank Hoff & T. Snell. It is an invaluable tool that has a ton of information. I had a...
The only issue with keeping them in the bucket is tat they will continue to grow and develop and may become too large for the clown larvae to eat. Since I'm not sure how large of food you are feeding them it may not be an issue. Putting them in the fridge will pretty much keep them at the size...
Don't waste the brine shrimp. You can put them in some new saltwater in a plastic bottle and stick them in the fridge. They will keep for up to a week that way. My suggestion would be to enrich them for a few hours before putting them in the fridge. The cold will slow them down but not kill...
My reason for asking was that the unrinsed brine could be adding to the ammonia levels. Brine shrimp water is high in ammonia and by transferring the large amounts of brine you are also transferring some ammonia. With multiple feedings a day it could cause ammonia to show in the tank.
