I would like to make more room for my angels and tangs in the bottom of the tank as they are getting bigger. Only the juvi angels now fit in the caves. I have a 210 so have plenty of room going up. Would like to bond / tie my LR but Im afraid the epoxy alone may not hold the rock by itself...

Sorry to hear about the Naso. Though i have a fowlr i had a similar situation in my tank two years ago. Between the algae and continous parasite attacks i was ready to give up. As some suggested, I cooked all the LR, put my remaining fish in QT and left the DT fallow for two months. Also...
Check out this interview with Brett Raymer from Tanked. He tries to answer the people who are critizing his show...like he says , "its on TV and made for entertainment, not an educational program!

"QUOTE=Nickjr000;681633]I agree with paul. No corals=no need for fancy lights. 4- t5 would be efficient and do a great job showing the colors of fish. For leds, the 3-4 of the cheap chinese fixtures would b great and if u wanted to ever keep some kind of coral with them u could.

thanks...
I currently have the Current USA MH/CF lamps because i also had some coral & inverts when i first started the tank. I also bought this lamp relatively cheap. I'm only using the compact bulbs at the time. I would like to switch to LEDS. Don't want to spend a lot but would like something...
Was also considering the Reef Brite leds...anyone have any feedback on these?

I hope some of you were fortunate to watch 60 minutes this evening. One of their stories was on the Cuban coral reef which is one of the few in the world that is still thriving. The fish population has also increased 30-50%. The reason for this rare success compared to other reef systems...
My baffles are glass. Thats a good idea to have them precut but don't I have to let the silicone sit for at least 24 hours before wetting? Btw I have an extra 40g breeder(no baffles) which I can use as a temp sump until the new baffles are ready. Thanks
I agree with you regarding what the manual states though the folks at Coravue did say they consider the 6.5' water level for "optimal performance". So I'll try first without cutting the baffles and try to raise it as much as possible . If performance is not great , then I'll cut the baffles...
I'm getting new skimmer soon(Super reef octo 3000 INT). The manufacturer recommends a water level around 6.5'. My baffles on both sides of the sump are are 9' high. I know the first thought is to raise the skimmer but i dont have alot of excess room under the tank as the skimmer is 24' so im...
