Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Would like to see how that cap (if it is a cap) on the top is going to react with the change. How far from the water line are the led's? I'm thinking that they should be raised pretty high since they are not controllable. I can bring my par meter with me if you like when I bring the tub back to...
You can always use an old credit card to clean the acrylic. About the scratches, They sell kits to remove them. Make sure they are not to deep or else you will be sanding all day. Check out youtube. They might have some videos on it.
I learn something new everyday. Thanks for that post Brian.
Bax, you must be a pro by now on moving corals to other tanks. I'm dreading my move and its just to the basement. I only have about 10 corals. LOL...
I like the hole and peg thing. If you get tired of looking at the same aquascape, you can move some rocks around easily. I don't know how easily rocks can separate once its epoxy together. I never tried it.
Thanks Taz
Here is where I'm at with the stand. I have no idea how I'm going to finish it. I would love to be able to remove the front panel in one piece, but 8 foot is pretty long. I can do 4 feet but than there will be a line in the middle. I just might go this route. I wll have the panels...
Well, I wasn't sure if I should start a build thread as this is going to be a slow process and I have been pretty busy lately. I'm upgrading from a Oceanic 215 gallon tank. You can find the build thread here, http://www.njreefers.org/showthread.php?67566-Ricwilli-s-215-build.
When I purchased...
These things are out all the time. I'm not having a good feeling about these guys. Taz, put up a pic when you get a chance.
I poked it and this is what it looks like closed up. Bad pic.....
The pumps that Nickj recommended should be good. The bad thing about them, is that they run hot. I like the eheim pumps. The 1262 would be great. You can run it on a manifold to run other stuff like gfo or carbon reactor. Which Nickjr also mentioned.
That method works. I have been using it for a while now. I also have Revive and prefer the Bayer than Revive. I use 5ml of Bayers to 2 cups of saltwater. Others have used stronger dosage with no ill affect to the corals. I dip all my SPS, and LPS other than Scoly's. I have never lost any of my...
Well, here is a pic of my sad looking tank. I lost lots of corals. The current corals are not doing so well either. I took this pic today as I will be taking it down soon. I will be upgrading to a 300 gallon. I'm debating if I should start a build thread for the 300 as it will be a slow process.
