Well, my Bengaii Cardinal decided he didn't want to be in the tank any longer and jumped out...
I going to build a mesh cover. I picked up my supplies today and it will be up tomorrow hopefully.
Pumps arrived and are installed! So far I like them. They are quiet and give a nice spread flow. I'm not so sure of the 1600gph flow rate, seems less. I think I made a good choice!
Thank you to everyone who voted for my pic! No apologies necessary. If anyone is into toadstools, this one has budded and I have a nice little baby I'd be willing to give away, especially if you lost coral due to the storm. Send me a PM if interested.
This is good advice. Also how are you doing your WCs? I like to turn off all of my pumps and blow out the rocks with a turkey baster. You'd be surprised how much detritus is hiding in the rock. I would also manually try to remove as much of the GHA as possible during WC. When I had this problem...
Thanks fellas! I recently put the CF light on a timer opposite the DT. My wife was complaining about energy usage. I'm going to test for NO3 tomorrow. The chaeto has only been in there a few days but I'm anxious.

This seems to be common as I was reading mediocre reviews of the Koralia wavemaker..
How long have you had this set up?
Thanks for digging up that thread. I can't fit the box into my DT, not so sure I like the looks of it either. I just think I could get better random flow without spending an...
As of now, I have 3 Koralia 1050s and a 1400 in my 55g BB tank. I want some wave action and Vortechs and Tunze is not in the budget. I haven't seen too many positive reviews on running my current Koralias on a controller. I was surfing the web and came across these. Any experience or opinions on...
I'm leaning towards running the light 24/7. I'm not really interested in keeping the pH stable, as my swings are pretty minimal as it is. I am a bit worried about the macro going sexual but I check up on my tank often enough to hopefully catch it before it becomes a problem.
You have a year's...
