Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Since next year's MACNA is going to be so close to home, I was considering going to it. I've never been to one and am really excited to have a chance to go. I literally joined NJRC right about the time we hosted MACNA in 2009, and since I was just getting into the hobby and didn't even have a...

I'm sure most of you are familiar with our newest Gold Sponsor - Marine Depot.
We're happy to announce that they have recently joined our list of sponsors and were very generous to offer a $125 Gift Certificate as a raffle item for our recent Frag Swap!
If you're not familiar with them, they...
I took a good look at it in action at the Swap too. I think it has some positives and negatives when comparing to say a VorTech.
Positives:
- I do like the flow it provided and the fact that you can go horizontal or vertical. It seemed very strong and powerful enough to work on even long tanks...
I just got a Waveline DC-6000 for my new system and it's hooked up to a manifold. It's dead silent and replaced a mag12 that I was originally intending to use. My discharge connection on my pump is 1", and I used braided tubing to connect to the manifold. This should prevent any cracking since...
Wow, great pics Mike. I didn't even see half of that stuff.
Well, my male Ruby Red Dragonet decided to come out of hiding a bit today so I got a few shots of him! :)
He seemed to be scared of either me or the camera because he ducked into the rocks (last pic) when I was trying to get...
One of the nicest looking FW tanks I've seen. Sorry to see that have to go, but looking forward to the makeover.
Will be following along for sure Bill.
Here are a few of the things I picked up at the Swap.
Zoa frag - purchased from Colorful Corals (sorry, photo is a bit too dark)
Hawkins Echinata - purchased from Dr. Jim
Tri-color Validia - purchased from Dr. Jim
Wellsophyllia - purchased from Cherry Corals (It's not adjusted to my tank...
Ugh. Sorry to hear that Mark. I feel bad now since you bought it from me. :frown:
You need to make sure they get a good attachment on the rocks before letting them be because they are light and the water current will float them right to the power head if you don't help them get their foot...
Me and Daniel stopped by tonight and the tank looked like it was pretty stable. I'm confident that Rob will be able to save most of his corals with the large water changes he's done.
Just keep an eye on it bud and you'll get it all worked out. :encouragement:
Rob, I can bring you about 3 AquaVitro buckets full of salt water (Instant Ocean) tomorrow night if you need it. Best if you get it worked out today obviously, but if you run out and need a little more tomorrow to get you back on track, let me know.
