    Marks...Back to the Future..Reef Aquarium

You may also want to try adding a phosphate reactor to the rock tank. Might help lower it a bit faster.

    105 Rimless Build

Nice looking tank! Looking forward to seeing the build.

    Remote sump

If I had a basement and a spare room directly below my tank... I would definitely have a "fish room" for the sump and all my equipment. As for the return pump, that would depend on what size tank and what size bulkheads you have on the overflow plumbing.

It was there the whole time Matt. I didn't edit that post at all. Anyway, at least you have the answer. :encouragement:

    Anemone eats bird

I'm guessing that the nem had a small fish that it was feeding on, and the bird tried to swoop in to get the trapped fish... only to get caught in the tentacles! :stung: Weird, but cool.

    Stupid stupid stupid mistake

I use those now too. Sometimes they get twisted and don't activate though. That's why I just bought an auto shut off kit from the last GB. ;)

2014 Frag Swap Registrations are now Live!

Hey everyone! We've just opened up the frag swap registrations as of last night and we've already got 9 vendor booths booked up! We expect a lot more to get added soon as the vendors get a chance to read the email notification and sign up. But, we also wanted to announce that the attendee...

"If you want to upgrade your tank I want you to upgrade my front porch!"

Glad the clown is enjoying it Matt. I was a little afraid that it wasn't going to be happy after what I put it through to get it off my rocks, but looks like it recovered quickly!

    Left dosing pump on....

0.3 isn't that big of a jump in about 1.5 hours so everything should be ok. I would recommend lowering it slowly back to normal though. That's step 1. Step 2 will be to figure out how to add a fail safe into your program. Good luck!

I ordered fish from Petco. WhaaaaaaaaT?

Sounds like a pretty solid QT process to me. Especially the part where you adjust the QT tank water to the bag water first, then do your acclimation (raising to your DT water) slowly in clean, ammonia free water. As long as the pH and temp are the same at the start, the jump from bag to QT...

    Beach Cleanup - April 26, 2014 9:00 - 12:30

Bob, if you can email them to me, or if you have a link where I can download them... I can copy them to the website server via FTP pretty fast. Then I could share them here easily too. Just giving you another option if you don't want to go through all that.

I ordered fish from Petco. WhaaaaaaaaT?

Haha, great question! Seriously though, the fish in the pics look pretty good to me. Did you take any of the tangs (besides the one in the bag)?

    Fuge Version 2.0

That wasn't meant to be a knock on you or your system. We all have to work with the space we have so the size you picked is likely the best you could do. I just meant that even though you doubled the fuge size, there still isn't a whole lot more you can do with it. Glad you liked my...

    Fuge Version 2.0

6g is still small so you can't put too much in there, but as a standalone fuge it will work. I would not recommend adding a sand bed because that's just one more thing to clean every few months. But, I would recommend adding some rubble rock or even better, make a couple Pod Condos and stick...
