    Driving in Seattle, Washington

And I thought NJ was the only place with circles! Funny looking sign. Though it probably would have helped the visitors to the Jersey shore to figure out how to navigate one!

    My New Convertable !

Ok it might be just having seen "Knowing" but I'm thinking you should get rid of the car. That's just me though. I'm REALLY glad everyone is safe!!

    Rehypes 39 Gallon Signature

I also thought that it happened with the tank in the car (now that would be some bad luck)... By the looks of that car you're lucky that you're alive! Glad you just have a hurt shoulder in the grand scheme of things. Good luck with the tank from here!

    GFO storage question

I wouldn't be afraid. The worst that could happen (?! LOL) is that it won't work. Just test the effluent for PO4 and see if it is reducing in comparison to the tank water. It wouldn't hurt to do a search on RC. Look for Rowa Phos.

    Forum Problem?

Yeah... I installed something to allow you to mark selected as read (which works fine) and it broke the "mark all read". I've put up with it because nobody has complained but if it is a problem I can uninstall the mod! If you click the box at the top that isn't next to a post it will turn all...

What are you using in your Phosban Reactor?

The club has bulk GFH at a great price. That's what we use (when we're running it).

Tropic Marin Pro Salt average price (200gal)

Or Tropic Marin and not the Pro. There's usually a significant difference between those two as well.

    GFO storage question

The GFO is to be kept damp. Keep it in an airtight container. If it starts to dry at all add a little bit of RO/DI.

Algae growth ? Is this BAD?

I'd pick up a handful of snails to help with the algae (turbo/astrea). Are you keeping the lights on? That's a lot of algae for an unlit tank. If you are running the lights leave them off for the next week or so until the snails get the rock cleaned up.

    Half Moon Bay

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing them. I'm surprised they're from near San Fran. It looks almost tropical with those flowers and blue waters.

    2009 June - POTM Contest - Winner! - Phyl

Thanks for the kudos gang! Those two caps are a treasure because they are back from near death from the near fatal crash of MACNA 2008!

Purple Firefish OK in my Tank

You need to clean the tank walls yourself. Look for a mag float with a ReefGadget on it.

    How about your LFS?

    Candy cane coral

That is just how they (and frogspawn) grow. They split and then grow "stalk" and only the heads remain fleshy. Perfectly normal. Not considered die off.

    Green Algae on Glass

You can get a ReefGadget from TB Aquatics and Allquatics. I'm not sure if any of our other sponsors carry them yet or not.

    Green Algae on Glass

The lower your nutrients the less frequently you'll have to clean your glass. Low silicates helps if you have the brown diatoms on the glass. We used to get the green on the glass but once we started using the ReefGadget scraper we haven't had to worry about it since! That gets the glass clean...

    Efficent equipment?

The most efficient pumps would be the Red Dragons. They don't do a lot of head pressure though so they're best for under tank installations. They're also extremely expensive. After that there are a few pumps that are not as expensive but are fairly good. I think Reeflo makes a few new ones that...
