To those who stopped by thanks for reducing the tank, I hope the corals do well for you. Thanks Brian for your comment that I had the most sps in a 55 that he had ever seen. That means a lot to me!

I was using reef crystals and also noticed the big spike in the alk. Have since switched to Tropic Marin. No issues, but does not take as much mix to get to 1.026.
Check your parameters first. Then plan to get them where they should be over a given period. Keep it stable and all should be well. I would not touch it, let it do it's thing. Even if it's a little bit left alive, it's a birds nest and will grow quite quick!
Flatworm exit can cause them to release toxins as they die. Depending on the amount in the tank....it may be too much and affect the corals. Never had a wrasse but it sounds a lot better.
