Hey Jeff.
I have one humongous carribean yellow cuke that does a great job, but he may need help. The day always starts out cyano free, but by midday it appears.
I am considering changing my lighting combiantion as well. Since I'm running one ballast short at the moment, I have been rotating...
That's one of those good problems to have Greg!
I solved it by upgrading, but I understand that's not an option at this point.
When faced with that problem in my softie tank I decided to get rid of the kenya trees as I also had anthellia and re-aquascape. create some gaps between the bigger...
Thanks Wendy!
I have not been target feeding it. I know, I know how many times have I posted about the advantages of target feeding LPS. ::) I'll have to change that!
I love the long sweeping look of your elegance. Mine has the short and stubby look. (Boy there is a setup if ever there was one!)
Sorry about that! I knew you would be looking and I took one especially for you. I guess subconsciously I didn't want to post it because it's no where near as nice as yours and the picture was taken at the cyano-peak for the day. ;D
In the full tank shot it's in the front right corner.
Thanks James. I thought about making upgrade day an open house, but I get a bit hyper with big projects like that and I didn't want to lose any friends. ;D
They do get big. Aquatic Obsessions gets them frequently. But for what they cost I think blue throat triggers are just as nice.
I found myself reading the Moorish Idol thread on RC again. Came to the same conclusion. NO!
Nothing beats a nice tank of angels; got to find a way to setup a large...
Thanks Harry!
In most cases the corals are just wedged in the rockwork. Another reason why I don't like to go into the tank. :D
Some are epoxied in place, but most of the hammers and frogspawns are just wedged.
And thus ends the great Imperator experiment!
Sorry it didn't work out Merv. I'm sure someone here will have a good home for him.
How about some Crosshatch Triggers? ;D
Who said that? ;D
It wasn't so bad since I found out the bad stuff the next day and I had to figure out the mystery of just how it got wet.
Thanks to everyone for the offers of help and spare parts. And thanks for the compliments on the tank. I just wish I could get the true colors posted. It...
Hey Jeff, I kept your name out of it! And yes you were pressured into jinxing my tang! ;D
Thanks for the offer of the loaner 660, but I don't work up that way any more. How is your job hunt going?
Thanks John and Brian!
Things are OK now. I just have to get the ballast in the mail. No shipping tape in the house and I was busy yesterday.
I have been switching back an forth between what set of lights are off on a given day and I've decided to change my bulb combination going forward. At...
So now for the saga of the latest reef chain reaction. ::)
It was a mere week ago when I was doing my routine daily maintenance of cleaning the glass and skimming the surface.
My tank is not reef ready. It was drilled for two 1" bulkheads and the returns are 90 degree elbows with strainers. I...
