Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Good water conditions and good flow.
Check to make sure the flesh is still firm and not starting to decay.
Give it a squirt with a turkey baster now and then to keep it clean but don't bother it too much.
And Iill stop there 'cause Phyl beat me to the punch! ;D
Hang in there Jon, only Phyl can kill Kenya Trees!
That's a lot of new softies in the tank and they are all adjusting to their new environment and probably sending out a lot of their defensive chemicals.
Keep your water quality up and if you aren't running carbon, I would start.
Light...
I was thinking about adding to the first post today, "And I ain't got no stinking pictures!" ;D Maybe tommorrow. ;)
My overflow options are constrained by a few things.
1) The tank is not a standard reef ready, it has 2 1" holes with bulkheads; one in each upper back corner.
2) For various...
Holy crap, I'm flashing back to my days (nights actually) at DeVry Tech in the 80's! :o
I probably have a couple of 555's in my old lab kit under a pile of crap in the basement.
I would be interested in giving this a try if we have a group buy/build. ;)
Well, if I could have afforded the services of a highly skilled paintman, this would have been a done deal by now. ;D
So what is going on with Bill's upgrade?
My dream was to spend the quiet evenings during the holdays sitting in front of my new tank with a nice drink and a roaring fire.

Really?
Hammers and Frogspawn intermingle well, photo evidence attached. Their sweepers can exceed 6" in my experience.
Most Bubbles are plerogyra and their sweepers are relatively short. 6" should workout OK
Do be cautious with Torches, they don't play well with others. ;)
Well here's one thing that stinks about the new job, whatever hosting site you use for the pictures is blocked!
I'll have to wait until I get home to go ooh and aah!!! ;D
Re: Here's my 120
A nice sandbed would break the fall! 8)
Tell me about wifesaver rug. I planning on getting a tarp or something similar to fit around the 180 when I work on it. Carpet is coming Wednesday!
I do it from time to time to get out all the stuff that settles in the bottom.
I use the minijet pump that feeds the reactor I run carbon in until it's almost empty and then the wet vac to get the sludge.
When I had the FOWLR I used this water for water changes and thats why I didn't use the...
So what is in the mix? What kind of SPS?
Do you run carbon?
I found that by focusing on groups, mostly LPS, mostly softies, etc. you can tune conditions to meet the needs of a group.
The few SPS I have do much better with the LPS than they do with a lot of leathers and other softies.
If I...
