Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
MrX is right. Water changes have all the trace elements you need.
Are you cycling the tank with anything? (Any fishes to start) Maybe a damsel to see if that makes it.
Don't jump in with both feet the water is deep. You don't want a major failure it will almost surely drive you out of the hobby...
I am not positive but I don't think mine were captive bred. One I bought from Animals and things. Then I ordered a mated pair and a juvenile from Saltwaterfish.com or somewhere. I mated the large female with the juvenile I bought with the mated pair and it worked out.
IMO, I attribute the non...
I don't care what people say about maroon clowns temperaments. I have two pair in different tanks. One pair is only housed with a Cardinal fish and no anemone. No aggression what so ever.
I also have a pair in my 150. Housed with many tank mates and a host anemone. She is about the sweetest...

Size: to 17", usually smaller
Habitat: turning up all along the East Coast
Notes: venomous spines
This Indo-Pacific scorpionfish has been sighted in the wild in Florida and the Caribbean since the 1990s. In 2000 it began appearing off North...
If you watch the video it shows a map of where they have been found. They have made it north of New Jersey. I keep watching the people collecting in NJ and now wonder when they will come up with one of these.
Has any one heard of this before? Lionfish are an invasive species now in our country. They escaped during hurricane Andrew and now are up and down the east coast.

Thanks Jim for the link. :D That solenoid should work fine. I don't want to run it off a timer though. I would like to run it off a float switch. The ultralife float switch or maybe one of the floats on the autotopoff.com site. For a backup to the solenoid or the float switch failing I would...
This water is not for ATO directly. I just want to fill a large vessel with filtered water without having to stay and watch it. I want to open a valve turn on a switch and walk away. Come back whenever and the tank be filled but not overfilled. Then make my mixes for water changes or transfer...
Jim, I have read your big tank thread. You yourself have had flood problems recently. It is great that you share your mistakes with others so they won't make the same ones. The Kold Ster-il/DI http://www.poly-bio-marine.com/ doesn't work the same way as RODI. I am not sure the aso valve would...
Guess you could put this on your wish list? http://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11_03/product_info.php?products_id=354&parent_category=4&category_search=63&root_parent_id=4
I would use caulking instead of chalking. Maybe hose clamps or pvc cement depending on what you are trying to seal. Nick is right with his silicone suggestions. Make sure you use aquarium safe of that GE I stuff without the anti mold in it.
