So I've been waiting for months for my Apex LSM w/ 5 LEDs to come back in stock, and last week I saw the 3 LED version was in stock, and ordered it. I received it yesterday, and just received notice today that they've already shipped me my backordered 5-LED version. So now I'll have two modules...

I have XPE 3w running with optics... Burning corals might be a stretch... But they can certainly punch through water. My tank is 31" deep, my lights are about 12" above water, and I'm getting good results so far (new tank, so I'll hold back a bit). One coral story... I won a frag of birds nest...

Counting pieces: base plate, cone base, cone, cone top bubble chamber, bubble plate, bubble top cup neck, cup base, cup, cup top silencer + gate valve (about 10 parts) Those are the parts you glue. Everything else is friction-fit.

Really wasn't hard at all. The most complicated part was gluing the cone, up along the seam. But that went together easily. Probably about 5-6 sessions, with an hour or two between. Honestly, the kalk reactor was harder, because I let the glue start to thicken in the tube, so it came spurting...

Yeah, I ordered a bunch from them: skimmer, Sicce PSK-1000, swabbie, skimmate locker, kalk stirrer. The locker has a pressure switch so I can have my apex turn off the pump and alert me if it fills up. All nicely made.

DIY CS1 with recirc mod being inspected for defects by Dippy. I bought the kit version, took a few hours to assemble (not counting drying time). Swabby on top, it's already pulling a really nice foam. Not bad for $200.

I just walked into the tank room, heard a whirring sound. I thought "Oh no, the Sicce is making noise now!" Nope. The MP40 had turned itself back on after I disconnected the Apex->Ecotech wireless module this morning.

I had a mag 12 running my AquaC skimmer, and a Reeflo Dart as my return pump (+ a little pump running my gfo/gac reactor). I realized my Dart had plenty left over, so I replumbed yesterday, picture tells 1000 words:

These were on some live rock... Anemones or polyps?

Only a few months, I don't have any fish in there at all yet.

Wish my tank was established enough. :(
