Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
When you trimmed the cap did you cut into the good part? I find that if part starts to go you really need to trim it back beyond the damage so there is good flesh to the edge. Is it possible that the death coincided with a change in alk/ca/mg/ph/trate/PO4 along with the touch of the frogspawn...
Not all Oceanic's are starphire glass. I think only the Tech tanks? The down side to the Oceanic is definitely the center brace. We've always had a center bracing of some sort, but I'd imagine that once you go Euro you never go back. You get a bit of a shadow from that center brace, but it isn't...
We ended up buy a neilsen reactor (which is quite a simple design and with a little patience and an ouce of DIY blood in your body you could easily make one). The whole "mix this every day otherwise the stuff quickly becomes useless when exposed to air" aspect of kalk made it something I didn't...
We could cut the strips on the table saw, but don't have any scrap around so you'd have to tell us where to get it and how much you wanted, etc...
I'll have to agree that Renee probably has scrap around, though she may not be allowed to run the table saw anymore :o
Great Renee. I'll bring them along and be prepared to go shopping ;D
My white tip stag is getting too close to my nana colony, so I have 2 frags of white tip stag for sale or trade.
Good for you! :)
You are our extended fish family! When are you going to be "in town"? Where are you going to be speaking? I know you have a couple of things lined up in the coming weeks...
Not to mention the detritus that gets trapped in the sand. I'd highly recommend a good long rinse in SW (with lots of stirring) for anyone taking on someone else's live sand.
Out by Philly are Allquatics and The Hidden Reef as well. Good luck. I know we bought a replacement impeller assembly for a Mag 12 (replaced it with the impeller of a Mag 18 effectively ending up with a Mag 15) online a while back, but we haven't had to replace any recently.
You could check locally at TFJ Petcenter, Aquatic Obsessions or one of our other sponsors, or you could check with Premium Aquatics and see if they carry them.
That's a big swing. Running fuge lights on opposite light cycle to tank lighting might help a bit. What's your Alk? Your PH shouldn't swing so dramatically if your alk is right.
OUCH!! I wouldn't have done that for all the money in the world. I've never been that drunk. Yikes. I did hold it in my hand and get zapped (to be sure I knew what the dogs were being exposed to), but beyond that? No way.
We broke that wire more times than I could count, luckily it is easily...
We had Huskies in an invisible fence (run along a physical fence). How well it works depends largely on your breed. Be careful not to let them roam (with or without collars) until they're well trained though or you risk scaring the bejiggers out of them for what seems like an eternity.
Our...
Our cuke leaves "pellets" behind when he's through an area. If you're seeing pellet like formations of sand then he's still alive and kicking and likely busy behind the scenes. The cowries may have gone the way of the socks.
Sorry for your loss, Bill. She was a beautiful fish and she did live a long life with you. I can only imagine you've done better for her than many others would have.
With our Maroons, the older established female we had accepted a new mate immediately, they paired laid eggs probably as soon as...
