Having 3 types of coral is doable, but what if I want to use a coral that doesn't require light as they might do well in an isolated container and not require constant additions of calcium? Or maybe I want to grow sponges. Why not have the light an option as well. Why not make it 3 or more forms...
kind of like this idea. s the thought to convert something. If not, I would prefer to use something with flat sides for distortion free viewing. Here is one possibility. How do you keep the temperature stable though?
Cal-Mil 1733-2 2 Gallon Square Glass Beverage Dispenser
I didn't want to see this post die without some discussion in it.
I was expecting a picture of the supermodel as well.
How do you feed the worms, just drop them on the tank bottom or spread them out at the water surface? Or do you use some sort of cup with holes in it for them to crawl out...
I have small worms although mine look different, and I would love to have lots of copepods. Since I have a diamond goby that shifts the sand and a wrasse that looks for tiny crustaceans for food, I don't seem to have many anymore. I wanted to learn about corals and fish. Part of that is...
I like the way you write. I see your point about disease resistance. I often wonder if bottle feeding is effecting the disease resistance in children.
Would bacteria on dirt survive in a saltwater environment? If not, getting immunity to it might not be the best idea unless it works like...
Someone was nice enough to show me a few shortcuts for taking pictures (Getting to the photo app easily by swiping, taking pictures with the volume buttons). Unfortunately, I didn't think to ask for a screen name. And poor Marissa doesn't yet know the joys of dipping pretzels, but did manage to...
Here are a few I took. The orange on this first one was great.
Here is some eye Candy (Canes)
Lots of color here. Hammer time.
The fish were nice also.
This was from a shallow tank.
The full Monty (I think)
I am not sure what this was.
I love nice toadstools.
This last one is c cool mix.
After 1 and 1/2 years, I am starting to get some algae in my tank. The bubble algae is easy to identify but I am having a harder time with a few others. Is this one a type of caulpera?
I was working on a project that required a special sewage filtration system called an amphidrome that made me think of your tank. This system is used in Pinelands areas in NJ where they don't want to release phosphates and nitrates into the sandy soil where water tables can be pretty high. This...
It was a hitch hiker from somewhere. Many are problems for some corals. I have not seen this guy since I took this photo. I thought it was funny that the yellow tang was looking him over.
