Welcome J.R. Nice story on the start up of your tank. Now the bad news...Kick-Ich doesn't work. THERE IS NO DT TREATMENT THAT ELIMINATES ICH! The only way to rid your tank of ich is to get all fish into a hospital tank and treat that tank with either copper, CP (Chloroquine phosphate)...

I've had luck with a coffee cup of microwaved tank water (boiling) squired on the little beasts using a turkey baster. Some require two or three applications.

If this is the unit: It doesn't take conventional replacement filters. You'll need to purchase replacements specific for Aquaticlife. I can't tell about DI resin....it does look like it might have a screw top on that cartridge. My preference is to purchase a unit that takes conventional...

If it's RO only, you will not get to zero TDS with this unit. I'd highly suggest THIS refurbished unit from Spectrapure that come with the DI portion. They call it refurbished, but it's all new filters....great deal.

I've been using the DIY NOPOX recipe that came from @art13. It simply is 500 mls Vinegar, 375 mls Vodka (40%) and 125 mls of RO/DI water. I've also seen other amounts used as well, such as 1 part vodka to 2 parts vinegar. However, I've wondered where the Art recipe came from.....and I...
