    Jaebo WP25

I agree with @Mark_C ....I rarely vinegar soak my powerheads, only if they are covered with coralline. If your pump is stalling, it's the biological scum on the magnet/inner motor housing. Take it apart and using an old toothbrush, clean off that scum.

    New tank

Hmmm! I believe they call them above ground pools! I might suggest stocking with kids, but you and your wife could also stock it and still have fun. :p:D:D:D:D:D

    Steam Punk Lamp

That is wild looking Paul! Nice job. Now don't go giving that you your grandchild as a nightlight. That would certainly give her nightmares. :ohnoes:

Saw this as wegmans in ocean

Funny you mentioned that....they just had a TV show about their renewed effort to capture pythons (I think Burmese) in Florida that they said were, in a big part, caused by Hurricane Andrew in 1992, when it wiped out a reptile center, causing 100's to be released into the wild. With the...

    Porcupine puff // eating

Also try a little garlic on the food....garlic is a food attractant for most fish. And although they might eat krill, it's not sufficient by itself.

What have you been feeding him? Try meaty food like table shrimp or clams.

    Humming Birds have Returned

Finally saw my first hummer last night while sitting out on the porch....around dusk. I don't think we have the population we use to have. I noticed no change in the nectar level as I changed it out about every week. Still not noticing any change.

    My build... From Start to.....????

Welcome back....and looking good. No need for lights when curing/cycling rock. Just a little water motion and a bit of heat is all you need. Will be following.

    Steam Punk Lamp

I'm liking it Paul. Pretty ingenious using a copper toilet bowl float. Now if you add a weed LED as the lure, that would be wild!

Today my protein skimmer killed my Lights

If the plug is wrong, I'll do the switch for you. But I'm betting this Amazon replacement will simply plug in and ready to go.

I think it's fair to say that your high nitrates are from the rock releasing it's death. ;)

Our first salt water tank! (warning many big images!)

Hello wife. I've got some bad news....Hanna Copper Checker doesn't work with saltwater (and that's from the mouth of technical support from Hanna). Only works for freshwater. So your LFS gave you some bad info. The therapeutic range for ionic copper (Seachem Cupramine) is 0.35 to o.5 mg/l...

Today my protein skimmer killed my Lights

If it's not the right plug end, cut off the one on the busted adapter and solder the wires using black shrink wrap and you'll never know!

Today my protein skimmer killed my Lights

What is critical for your power supply is that it needs to be 12 volts and a minimum of 4.0 Amps, and the outer ring negative, inner ring positive. THIS one from Amazon should do it.

    It has begun...

The Radion is nothing....let me give you the logical link of what daddy will eventually buy his little boy in about ten years. Daddy buys Red Interested....Red Interested is a citizen of King Neptune....King Neptune carries a trident....Daddy will be buying Tiernan his own trident: And...

    Joys of DIY project

Looking good James. My recommendations are to NOT give it eyesight or teach it how to sing, "Daisy Bell."

Our first salt water tank! (warning many big images!)

Glad to see you've got it all figured out. A couple pointers, and I apologize if you're already aware: 1. Do not start the clock on treatment until you reach therapeutic levels of copper. If at any point during the two week treatment levels drop below therapeutic levels, you need to start the...

    Tank move Robbinsville

I was told it's going to your house Ant! Ed dependent on the day, I'm there. Saturdays are better than Sundays for me or any late day weekday is good too.

    Sobo's Fluval Evo

As far as powerheads, have you looked at Jebao PP4's? They are less than half the cost and are adjustable from 132 to 1057 gph. I'm impressed with the PP8 and 15 I've purchased.
