Instant Ocean Salt has goodies in it!

I was thinking a t-shirt. I think Coralife used to give t-shirts, or some salt did.

    minimal for nems

IMO if you keep the water quality right, it should be ok, presuming you have proper lighting and proper flow. LFS's have that setup for anemones every day, so it can work. It's just a matter of water quality, light and flow. Planning to do water changes as a routine is good, but also plan on...

To Refugium or not, that is the question?

It's like many things in this hobby - electable. A system can work with a refugium, and can work without a refugium. People have success every day with either approach. That said, IMO it comes down to what interests you. If you setup a fuge but don't have your heart in it and are doing it...

    New Toadstool

The trick I found with keeping triggers on the reef is to use large rocks. We have a 12" Titan trigger in another tank, and all the rocks need to be at least 4 or 5 pounds or he'll pick them up. So the corals are all attached to large rocks, he doesn't bother them. And I leave a few smaller...

    New Toadstool

They are blue throats. The male is about 7" now, and the female about 4". These blue jaws are pretty gentle and rarely harass anyone. The male moves small rocks around but doesn't bother the corals. I leave a couple "toy" rocks and a big snail shell on the sand for his amusement.

    Live Rock - Help

Live rock has two functions - one is to establish filtration, and the other is to import "life" and diversity to the system. IMO it doesn't make sense to kill off the rock, but to each their own.

    Live Rock - Help

If it came from a system and has consistently been submerged, just put it in you tank. If it's been out of water for a while then cure it, it may cure through in a week.

    Clownfish Not Eating/Hyperventilating

Maybe don't concern yourself with the eating, they can go many many days without. I'd suggest you research wetwebmedia.com with the symptoms and I bet you'll find something and what to do. If you don't find anything, take a picture and email it with your observation to Bob Fenner at...

    Seachem Reef Calcium closeout online

LOL, you're pretty close It's calcium that is bound to carbohydrates, which coral and coralline can readily absorb - so it is written and Bob Fenner agrees. It's dosed along with Reef Advantage Calcium to moderate calcium level. In either case it's a super deal.
