Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I'd be willing to bet your issue is that you are shorting out / grounding out the beads.
I went back to Paul B's build and you can see he mounted the beads on a disc of copper, allowing the positive and negative leads to be soldered separately (not contacting the copper):
If you mounted...
I'm prefacing my comments by letting you know that I don't know what I'm talking about. However, what little I do know is that you can't simply flip series and parallel connections. Without changing the power source, you need to set up those LEDs how they were set up in the original fixture...
Marcus, thanks for the heads up.....but Riverhead is way out there on LI.....too far for me.....but would love to see Joe's big tank!
I'm also scratching my head about "Northeast’s largest Reef Aquarium Conference". Do you think this is larger than RAP, which is a two day event?
Why I must say, it looks like the interior designer that did your closet also did my garage....similar appearance! :D

I have four MP's...and I like them, but they are costly. I like two things:
1) They are not as bulky as conventional powerheads.
2) AC wiring is outside the tank.
With that said, I very recently purchased a Jebao PP 15 for 70 bucks, and holy carp, does that thing push water. I think it...
What gets me is that this is a knock-off of the HM Digital TDS meter....that's only a couple bucks more......and this Mudder is known to be inaccurate and unreliable.
Mark, I'd try cleaning it in vinegar over night and then rinsing it well. Then, once you put in in the solution you wish to...
One more thing, if you make large batches (that aren't measured out per batch of 2 1/4 cups baking soda), once baked, the volume has been reduced, and you now only need 2 cups of the baked baking soda (sodium carbonate aka, soda ash) per one gallon of RO/DI.
