    NJRC 2006 Holiday Party

It would be good if those who are planning on attending could purchase their tickets. I'd like to be able to start getting a head count of how many people we're expecting!

    Toad Stool Closed up

Thought I recognized it! Actually that's one of ours, not the clubs. It's a terminator coral. You can't kill it. Fear not.

    Toad Stool Closed up

It looks like it is getting ready to shed that outter skin and open again. That wet look is how mine all get just before they're going to shed. I have also not dosed any iodine.

cyano in an 8 months 210

Safe to use now. It MAY be a waste of money (meaning you'll have to do it again when things are back in line). Nothing to lose other than money!

cyano in an 8 months 210

Chris, common causes are high nutrients (which you're addressing), old lighting (something about the spectrum changing) and lack of sufficient flow. Chemi-pure is a good way to eliminate the cyano once the root causes have been addressed. Use of Chemi-pure before having eliminated the root will...

Elephant skin coral from ILC meeting raffle

The coral itself came from ReeferMadness.us. It appears to be very similar to a potato chip coral. I found a little bit about it here and it looks like good advice and an accurate description: http://www.marinecenter.com/corals/coralssmallpolypstonycorals/elephantskinpachyseriscoral/ Enjoy...

Our November meeting was at In Living Color in Marlton, NJ with the SJMRC. ILC Hosted a wonderful meeting, providing a great food spread, complete with a chocolate basket (mmmmm) for dessert! It was great to get to see so many of us all make the trek. I think there were close to 30 of us that...

    November Meeting: 11/12/06 @ 1:00pm, ILC

Stopped in at ILC today. There are some beautiful corals in there! The colors on the SPS are amazing. Just as an FYI, the best place to park may be the party place the parking lot just before ILC's parking lot on 70 (unless there's parking around back. Anyone know?). Should be a lot of fun...

Got it, Matt. Thanks. Here's a preview of the Raffle Frags. Some of them were still showing a little travel stress, but had been in the tank for less than 6 hrs when the pics were taken. Sorry in advance for the blurries!
